1855 – 15th October – Court Case – Old Bailey. George Wood was brought before police inspector James Brannan for attempting to enter a house with an accomplice, Hannah Payne. The police entered their lodgings and recovered the implements of coin forgery.
1855 – 22nd October – Court Case – Old Bailey. Found guilty of “Possessing a mould upon which was impressed the resemblance of one of the sides of a three penny piece”. Sentenced to 4 years.

1855 – 12th December – Received at Millbank Prison.
1856 – 1st August – Received at Portland Prison.
1859 – 3rd May – Received at Woking Convict Invalid Prison. Prisoner Number 18.
1859 – 21st October – Released from Woking Convict Invalid Prison.
