Timeline

1800 – Estimated year of birth.

1841 – Census – Holyrood, Southampton, Aged 40. Living with Elizabeth, his wife (who ran a lodging house), and their two sons.

1851 – Census – Parish of St Michael’s, Southampton, Aged 50. Living with Elizabeth, his wife, his 5 year old granddaughter, and running an Inn.

1855 – 22nd October – Convicted in Southampton of Receiving Stolen Property. Sentenced to 4 years penal service.

1856 – 9th January – Received at Millbank Prison.

1856 – 31st January – Received at Pentonville Prison.

1858 – 2nd July – Received at Portland Prison.

1859 – 3rd May – Received at Woking Convict Invalid Prison. Prisoner Number 13.

1859 – 21st October – Released from Woking Convict Invalid Prison.

1861 – Census – Parish of St Mary’s, Aged 61, living with his wife Elizabeth in Grove Street.

1881 – Census – Parish of St Mary’s, Workhouse. Aged 81, widower.
