1855 – 9th October – William Clarke, a 29 year old soldier, convicted by General Court Martial (GCM) at Quebec for desertion and stealing other regimental articles, sentenced to 4 years imprisonment.
1856 – 5th September – William Clarke transferred to Millbank Prison.
1857 – 15th September – William Clarke transferred to Portland Prison.
3rd – June – 1859 – Received at Woking Convict Invalid Prison. Prisoner Number 32.
He is described as having a fair complexion with brown hair and dark blue eyes and his height is 5’6 and his body robust. He is noted as being single, illiterate, protestant and has having slight scars on his forehead and right cheekbone.
1859 – 8th October – Released from Woking Convict Invalid Prison.
